🐾 EMMET IS SEVEN WEEKS OLD. HE WEIGHS LESS THAN ONE POUND. AND HE'S STILL FIGHTING.
At just four days old, Emmet was discovered alone in the grass by an EMT responding to an emergency call.
That EMT finished his shift and brought the tiny kitten to us. We named him Emmet in honor of the man who saved him.
He arrived with severe flea infestation, anemia, and infected eyes.
Today, Emmet receives round-the-clock care in our home. Recurring respiratory infections have affected his growth, and his condition remains fragile.
During the weeks we've cared for Emmet, we also welcomed four critically ill kittens from a local feral cat colony. They came from three different mothers.
Heartbreakingly, none survived.
Emmet is still with us. And we're doing everything we can to give him a chance.
His care requires vigilance, ongoing treatments, and veterinary attention.
At Auntie Umm's Tiny Paws & Claws Inc., rescue doesn't end when an animal comes through our door. Sometimes, that's when the hardest work begins.
❤️ Your donation helps support veterinary treatment, medications, and compassionate care for vulnerable rescued animals.
Help us keep fighting for the little ones.
